The history of wormwood, a plant that was used in France for medicinal purposes and was added to wine to treat various ailments. However, in later years, wine was replaced with alcohol, like denatured alcohol, which made the mixture toxic. It is set in a beautiful molasses-colored oak frame and has a natural linen liner.
